Dear Toddler Community,
There has been a confirmed case of pink eye in the Toddler South Community. The student was last on campus on Monday, October 17. Because this illness has been identified in the classroom, we recommend consulting a medical professional if you notice any symptoms. Please keep your child home if they are experiencing fever or any symptom of greater intensity or frequency than what is normally experienced. Before children can return to school, they must meet the following criteria:
- When there is no longer discharge from the eye or until 24 hours after antibiotics have been started.
Symptoms of pink eye include redness, itching, and tearing of the eyes. It can also lead to discharge or crusting around the eyes. Sensitivity to light is also common.
If your child will be missing school, please remember to fill out the Student Absence Form to ensure that everyone who needs to be notified is kept in the loop.
Contact the office if you have any questions.
