There has been a confirmed case of enterobiasis (commonly known as pinworms) in the Senior El Community. Because this illness has been identified in the classroom, we recommend consulting a medical professional if you notice any symptoms. Please keep your child home if they are experiencing fever or any symptom of greater intensity or frequency than what is normally experienced.
Symptoms of enterobiasis (commonly known as pinworms) include itching around the anus which can lead to difficulty sleeping and restlessness. Pinworms can be treated with either prescription or over-the-counter medications. A healthcare provider should be consulted before treating a suspected case of pinworm infection.
If your child will be missing school, please remember to fill out the Student Absence Form to ensure that everyone who needs to be notified is kept in the loop.
Please contact the office if you have any questions.
