On Wednesday, May 24, families are invited to join in celebrating the transitions that come with the end of a school year! Here is an overview of the last day of school:
- Students will be dropped off at their usual locations from 8:00-8:30 a.m.
- The early part of the morning functions as a time for staff and students to hold their intimate classroom farewell practices, which will include the annual Elementary Egg Drop (remember to create and submit contraptions by Tuesday!). To honor the classroom community and provide space for these traditions, family, and friends are not able to participate in the early morning classroom events.
- At 10:30 a.m., families are invited to gather in the Plaza for our Moving Up Ceremony. The Moving Up Ceremony honors the students moving from one level of their Montessori journey to the next (Toddler to Primary, Primary to Elementary, Elementary to Jr. High, and beyond!). Students will cross a bridge to symbolize moving from one level to the next.
- Parking is available on the north side of Granite, the south parking lot, and across the street at El Buen Samaritano Church.
- Following the ceremony, families will be able to enjoy a picnic on the Elementary field.
- Campus closes at 1:00 p.m. No childcare is available after that time.
Reach out to the office if you have any questions! We look forward to celebrating with you.
