Shakespeare Comes Alive

AutumnFest

An Escuela annual tradition.  Bring the kiddos in their costumes for a couple hours of food, fun, free games and activities, and live entertainment at the Wells Park Community Center, 4:30-6:30 p.m.

Sugar Skulls: Meaning, Making, and Decorating with Shelle Sanchez

Oct. 25, 1:00 pm

Spend an afternoon immersed in exploring sugar skulls as an art form and a traditional act of remembrance for Dia de los muertos. This workshop includes: background on the traditions of sugar skulls, a simple process for mixing sugar and icing, practice creating sugar skulls with molds, time and inspiration for decorating sugar skulls, and guidance on caring for your intricate creations so that they last for years. This workshop is great for adults and kids (ages 8+).

Artist Trading Cards

Make your very own set of Artist Trading Cards! The materials & inspiration of the week – music, collage, paint, pencil, and more, will inspire each card! By the end of the course students will have their own unique collection of trading cards. After documenting your original set of cards, start trading with your classmates!
