We know that choosing a school is one of the most important decisions you will make for your child and your family. Our admissions process is designed to help you learn about our curriculum, educational philosophy, and to determine if we are the community where your child and family can blossom and thrive. We appreciate your interest and look forward to working with you!

Admissions are based on a balance of available spaces for each age, program level, and the child's readiness for the level of independence required in a Montessori classroom. Admission preference is given in the following order:

  • Children currently enrolled at Escuela whose families have made a long-term commitment to continue throughout the school’s Montessori programs.

  • Siblings of current students.

  • New applicants


  1. The first step is to schedule a parents-only tour and observation. Fill in this online inquiry form, and we will contact you soon to schedule your visit. We highly recommend that all parents involved in choosing the school for a child attend this tour before submitting an admissions application.
  2. Our office will contact you to schedule your visit; please plan on spending at least an hour at the school. Your visit will include a tour of the campus and an opportunity to observe in at least one classroom.

  3. Forms required for the next step in this process will be given to you at the time of your first visit. The required forms include:

    - Application for Admission. A $50.00 non-refundable application
      fee is required with this application.
    - Parent Questionnaire
    - Release of Records (if your child currently or previously
      attended a school or childcare center)
    - Teacher or Caregiver Recommendation: will be sent to your
      child’s current or previous school, or to another primary care-
      giver, such as a nanny.

  4. After forms are completed and submitted, we will schedule a time for your child to visit the school.

  5. A parent interview is required after the student visit. At this time we can discuss your impressions and address any questions you may have.

JR. HIGH ADMISSIONS: The first steps are the same regardless of your child’s age or grade. For students applying for grades 7 and/or 8, we want to hear more from the student. A student statement consisting of a questionnaire and short essay questions is also required.
